Helena de Llanos
The audiovisual work of Helena de Llanos oscillates between documentary and fiction. He has made films that address various topics and characters, from the rise to power of the president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, with a gender perspective in Half of everything, to a group of esparto workers in an old factory in southern Spain in Nos They call the mats. He has always been interested in the crossing of cinema with art, citizen participation in cultural creation, and memory; Until 2016 he was part of the Cinema without Author collective.
Since then he researches and organizes the written, theatrical and cinematographic work of Fernando Fernán Gómez and Emma Cohen through a multidisciplinary project that includes, among other works, the short film Do the dead speak to us? By 2020 it is planned to shoot Travel to somewhere, a documentary feature film that will culminate in this long-distance project.
